An Enduring Power of Attorney is a useful document that enables a person (the donor) to choose one or more individuals (the donee/s) to act on his behalf, if for example, the donor becomes mentally or physically incapacitated. The Power is usually triggered only when a certain event occurs.

What is a power of attorney?
A power of attorney is a legally binding document where an individual nominates a person (the attorney) and authorises the attorney to act on his behalf.
